Print Archive: We Are the People

Limited edition inkjet + silkscreen prints

In early March 2004, London's National Portrait Gallery opened an exhibition that became an unexpected sensation, "We Are the People: Postcards from the Collection of Tom Phillips RA."

The show featured nearly 1200 photographic postcards from the first decades of the twentieth century with the guiding principle, "Ordinary people made extraordinary by the lens of the camera."

Six of those postcards were selected by Tom Phillips to be rendered as large-scale prints, and they were featured in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition (click HERE for detailed information).

Original prints from this series are available in limited editions, and can be purchased directly from the artist's studio via this website.
